More and more designers, makers, and other creative professionals in the textile and fashion sector and in architecture & interior are focusing on the development of innovative materials and design processes for sustainable applications. Biofiber algybased aims to explore the material possibilities of this compound, as fibre and in its possible woven combinations to create a bio textile with less environmental impact. But what exactly is the potential of these special textiles? What could be the scope of an extrudable biomaterial based on organic biomass?

There is growing interest in the potential of biodegradable textiles to promote sustainability.  In this project, Loana Flores from the ESDI Design school lead of OcloyaStudio  will investigate the potential of biofiber to promote sustainability and a sustainable environment. She is looking for collaborators  from the field of chemistry and materials science to be able to generate a product that meets the required resistance properties.
